Do you have a garbage disposal? If so, grind half a lemon in to freshen the drain.

Add lemon rinds and ice cubes to your disposal. Always run disposal an additional 20-30 seconds, with faucet fully turned on, after food items appear to have been ground up, to avoid smells. Wipe the rubber gasket, regularly. Place 1 cup baking soda and distilled vinegar in drain, monthly. Let set 30 minutes then follow with 2.5 quarts very hot water.

  • Baking soda down the drains once a month. I take the spent baking soda boxes from the refrigerator and freezers and pour into all the drains and toilets, let sit overnight and rinse in the morning.
