start with a base, a charger plate works well, to make your creation portable. Decide on a theme, colors and/ or materials you will use. Do you want to use candles, fresh or silk flowers, ect. after you have chosen your materials try arranging them so that they are pleasing from all sides and assemble. I like the materials that last, like battery candles, and silk flowers, less fussy than fresh cut flowes. You can use green foam to stick your flowers into to hold them in place but I have found that just placing them around the outside works well. besides the candles in varying heights, I have used glass containers with items inside, rocks, shells, popouri, little balls made from natural materials. hope this helps

  • Hi Susan, I like to use fresh flowers in a simple vase or wide mouth mason jar. This way it can be swapped out every two weeks and fresh flowers are always so beautiful. Good luck!
