How about using clear Gallery Glass by Plaid? It’s messy but looks great when dry. Just squeeze it on the glass and “pounce” with your finger tips to give it a textured look.

Why not buy the privacy window clings. Purchased mine at Lowes ,comes on roll and you cut to size ,dampen window and use squeegy to get out any air bubbles. You still get light. I put in bathroom window for privacy and also on my front door upper window. There great. Hope this helps. P.s. they look as if you have privacy glass. It'll cover your fogged windows and look good at same time

Try Rabbitgoo brand vinyl cling. It adheres with water and removes easily, yet stays very well in place.
