  • Wash it. My washing machine will take a king size comforter or bedspread. If yours doesn't, head over to a coin laundry. Wash in cold water and do not over dry.

Hello Margaret! You must have a quilt to wash. That's what I think you mean when you say you have a bedspread that has cotton between layers of cloth. If it is quite large--a queen or a king size-you can take it to the laundromat and wash it in one of the big machines. You can select a gentle cycle. You can wash a twin or fuill size at home on the gentle cycle. You can use any kind of laundry soap but I would cut the amount in half. Normally you can dry a quilt/bedspread in the dryer. If you live in a place where it's warm and sunny right now hang it outside on a clothes line to dry.

You should be able to wash your bedspread on a gentle cycle and line dry or on a low setting. I like to use drift to wash my bedspread. https://amzn.to/2IvRHdg
