For an urgent need to stop erosion as you experienced, I would get the foam spray lawn seeding like our neighbors used and it looks beautiful where they could not grow grass. You spray it on and the foam type cover prevents it from washing away , protects the soil, and also includes seeds in it to start the lawn. Here is the info to get yours, I hope it helps. It just attaches to your water hose and costs about $20 for fifty square feet.
Thanks for the information.

Grade soil up to the house sloping down away from the house. Grass or ground cover plantings will stop erosion. Divert gutters away from the house with extensions on the downspouts. Either hard downspouts or rolling plastic extensions.
