You could turn this into a coffee bar. Begin by removing the glass doors on the top and middle compartments. Put your coffee pot in the top compartment. Put your coffee cups/mugs in the middle section and use the bottom compartment for storing the coffee, sugar, dry creamer, filters, etc.

I'm not sure if I can use a primer and then paint the cabinet on the outside. I'm trying to transition into grey in my kitchen. Have a happy Easter!🐰🐇

What do you want to upcycle the cabinet into/for what purpose?

By laminate do you mean recover?

No, I just want to prime & repaint it if it can be done. Thank you, & Have a Happy Easter!🐇🐰

Hi Karen, you can cover the cabinet with contact paper or removable wallpaper. They sell it at Walmart, hardware stores and craft stores. I actually covered an entire wall in my bathroom with contact paper and a dresser and it was really easy. You can cover the outside in grey and then add something with a pop of color that shows through the glass.

go with the contact paper. laminates are more like a veneer, very thin and can be a bit brittle. the last time I replaced the counter top with one I used rubber cement on the on the counter surface, and on the back of the laminate. bit tricky to get it into place.

Thank you, for your input I really appreciate it. seems like contact paper can be a bit tricky as well because of the bubbles. I will still look into it. Happy Easter!🐰🐣🐇
