Hi ! I did a lot of research on this before I painted mine , I was looking for a way to skip threading sanding and primer . I narrowed it down to 2 methods , one was chalk paint , but I needed an extra step of sealing them . So I went with advance paint by Benjamin Moore , about $40 . This is a hybrid paint , brushes and hands wash off with soap and water , but the finish dries hard like an enamel . It is also self leveling , which means you won't see brush or roller marks . Number each door so you know where it was positioned , also put each doors hardware in individual zip lock bags with its door number on/ in the bag. This will save you a lot of time and aggravation . Next you still have some prepping to do. I used 2 products from

Krud Kutter, first their de greaser , then the de glosser , they are sprays , spray them on , then wipe off. The not only really clean them but also takes off the shine , which allows the paint to adhere to them . Next paint ! I did 2 coats waiting for the first one to dry completely before doing the second coat . Check out the step by step tutorial

i posted on this site called new kitchen on a budget . Good luck !

Whatever you do, make sure you prep them really well by cleaning with a degreaser and primer like BIN Shellac to prevent bleedthrough and to make sure the paint sticks.
