How can I recover a vinyl headboard with batting & cloth?

My concern is using staples.? to attCh the batting to the vinyl. Is this a good idea. Will it work?Shay

You should remove the old upholstery first. Start fresh.
No, to attach the batting use spray adhesive. Staple the fabric on the back of the headboard.
Staples should work well. Use larger ones to go through the vinyl and bite into the frame underneath. :)
