How do I stop rain from coming in my sliding glass doors?

When there are heavy rains, it comes in under my sliding glass doors and floods part of my Florida room. The wood around the bottom of the frame inside has started to rot too.

Maybe you can make some kind of barrier to block rain from getting to door . divert water away .replace rotted wood with pressure treated wood if possible .

There should be holes on the outside of the track that channel water away. Check to make sure yours are not clogged.

You for sure will have to replace anything that is rotting! Grade the ground around your Florida room so that it doesn’t allow the water to flow toward the structure. Then caulk around the glass doors, and clean out the track.

Grading the ground will help prevent this from re -occurring

  • The track should have drain holes. Perhaps they're blocked and the water is backign up.
