Can I paint a glass top table?
I have an old glass top table that we sit at every day. It has a metal base in good shape and the glass is really scratched. I'm just tired of it can it be painted? Or any suggestions welcomed thanks

Two ideas:
It can be painted but you need to paint the underside not the surface. You can also etch the surface with patterns or stencils and etching cream.
Good answers all. Have you thought of covering it with pennies or glass gems? Here are some other ideas. When you get it back to shape, can you share with us?

Paint the underside of the glass. To avoid brush strokes I suggest you use a foam roller cover and do the edges with a piece of foam.
Yes of course you can paint the metal base with a paint that suits metal you could google it first to get the right paint and you can get a new piece of glass cut to replace the old glass
