    Hi Bridgette,

Do this outside and wear gloves at both start and finish of this.

What you do is take each burner and put it in a freezer baggie ( I use the 1 gallon size), this is because the freezer baggies are thicker than the regular ones. Add 1/2 cup ammonia to the burner in the baggie and seal it shut. Let this set overnight, it is the fumes that do the work and not the liquid.

Next day rinse well and dry.

I do mine 2 at a time so I have 1/2 stove ready for use all the time.

Put the burner in a plastic bag with half a cup of ammonia, seal the bag, leave it overnight. The next morning, simply wash the burner with soap and make sure to rinse it well, everything will be loosen.

The ammonia can be use to clean the oven as well, no scrubbing, every thing comes out clean, but no bag.

I put mine in dishwasher and use the heaviest cleaning cycle. I never have to scrub them

I put mine in a garbage bags spray with oven cleaner and leave in the sun 2-4 hours and then rinse off.

I put mine in a dishpan and cover with hot water. I add 2 cups (+/-) of cleaning vinegar and a couple drops of blue dawn dish soap. ( be sure it’s cleaning type vinegar.. I love the $ store brand). Let soak 45-60 minutes, rinse and wipe dry.

I bought a house with a stove that had built up burnt grease. I used a handheld steamer. Went from years of black grease to new again.
