Hi Susan, sorry you have an ugly ring in your toilet. Hope this will help you.

To clean a ring in a toilet bowl, sprinkle baking soda around the bowl of your toilet. Wait at least 1 hour, then moisten the baking soda with vinegar spray and use a toilet brush to vigorously scrub the ring. Alternatively, you can submerge a pumice stone in your toilet bowl water for 15 minutes.Mar 29, 2019

Professionals in the cleaning process industry- both hospitals and hotels- use pumice stones. You’ll earn gloves, and scrub the ring off the toilet bowl with the stone. The pumice will not ruin the original toilet bowl, but will remove the hard water buildup. No bad chemical smells either.

I don’t understand the “submerge the pumice stone above”. Just scrub with it. Good luck.

I’m just going to throw in something I have tried which works, but it’s not my usual go-to: pour in a can of any carbonated soft drink or lemon-lime canned drink. Let that sit half an hour or overnight, then scrub with a brush and flush a couple of times. Repeat if you want to. Good luck!

I’ve not tried it, but recently saw someone was using hydrogen peroxide to get the toilet ring gone. It said to lower the water level a bit and pour the peroxide on the ring, let it sit ten minutes or more, then brush and flush. Repeat if needed.

The can of soda mentioned above works. I always pour leftover glasses or stale soft drink into the toilet bowl without flushing and voila! no stains.
