Vinegar and water. 50/50 mix. Vinegar will not work on it's own. Vinegar kills mold spores bleach does not.

I believe one part Dawn dish soap and 4 parts peroxide will clean it.

To kill mold spores and their roots, pour straight 3 percent hydrogen peroxide, undiluted, into a spray bottle and saturate the area with it. Let the H2O2 do its work for 10 to 15 minutes, and scrub the area to remove all dead mold. You can add vinegar to the peroxide in the spray bottle to make the solution stronger.

  • Hi Rebecca - There are several ways to get rid of mold, but most importantly, you need to address the root cause to keep it from returning. This article focuses on the bathroom, but is an overall great article that covers methods of how to remove mold, if bleach is safe to use, and how to prevent it from coming back. Hope this helps! Hi Rebecca, Make a paste out of baking soda and water and simply work it into the surface with a scrub brush or sponge. Rinse with white vinegar to eliminate the white residue that baking soda leaves behind. Hydrogen peroxide is another way to kill mildew naturally. Hope this helps you out
