How to get rid of black bees?

If you have a college with an Agriculture Dept. call them for a referral to a local be keeper. Or google "Bee Keepers" in your area. They will be happy to remove them, free to an area that needs them. You can also get info from Nurserys or even most County information offices.

Looks like the black bees are carpenter bees that do burrow into wood, they don't digest it, they just make pathways and pockets, which weakens the structure. A good point by Limbo is that they are pollinators and we need that.

If you do have an infestation, it would be better to have someone re-home them if at all possible.

An agricultural agency or perhaps through master gardeners/bee keepers you could find someone to do this, as a last resort and if they are doing damage, they have to go.
