Hi Maci, years ago I bought a dining room set which had a small clump of paint on the fabric and I used Murphys oil soap. I used it straight and did not add any water. I let it set for a while and scrubbed it and it came out. I then rinsed with a clean damp rag to get most of the soap out.
I have used a product called GOO Gone I purchased at Home Depot. It dissolved latex paint, off one if my carpets, and removed an oily stain from son in law’s trousers. I keep a bottle around at all times in the laundry room.
