Does anyone have a recipe for a solution for carpet shampooers that wont harm the machine?

It may be more cost effective to simply purchase solutions that are ready-made to be used in machines.
Use what the manufacturer recommends....could void warranty if you don't.
Clothes soap works well
We had a Bissell for 2 decades and I used vinegar in it. If still under warranty, do not use anything they don't recommend.
