Hi Sheila, quite a few of our hometalkers have shared how they made their curbs more appealing. Perhaps one of these ideas will inspire you - https://www.hometalk.com/search/posts?filter=curb%20appeal

Hi ! What's ugly about your curb appeal , that you want to change ? First get rid of any garbage , like broken flower pots , or broken toys , bikes..paper.. Then take a good look and see what you need to change . Take a drive around your area and notice things that you like that other people have done to their yards , also notice what kinds of plants are growing and doing well in your area. Now for some quick easy updates , paint your front door a brighter color , home depot sells small cans of front door paint ! Put a few flower pots, hanging or on the ground near your front door or even window boxes ! You can put a stone ( small stones ) around the house or buy a pallet of landscaping rock and make a low wall around a tree or small garden . You can buy a walkway path mold in different styles and mix quickcrete ( a fast drying concrete ) and make your own stone walkway...Good luck and have fun doing it. Keeping up a yard takes work, but it is so satisfying when you see the results !

Great advise Pamela! I suggest too, walking around you're town and seeing things you like and could implement in your front yard. Remember, it can get costly so budget, plan and be patient. It may take a few years to get everything you want. Also a good tip for front yards is symmetry. What you do to the right side do to the left. More pleasing to the eye.

Also check out Pinterest use search words CURB APPEAL or Front yard.

    Good luck and have fun!
