The shelf life of Chalk paint?

I have a jar of Ann Sloan chalk paint I bought several years ago. It has never been opened but it has separated. As it was very expensive and I have a project in mind for it I was wondering if I can simply stir it well to recombine it and if it will still be ok to use, or if the durability would be compromised

Just shake until blended. Once opened, it dries up quickly, so leave the lid on unless you are painting straight from the jar. You can add water, but it will dilute the color, so cabinet doors may not match precisely. Best wishes to you!
I would just shake it up and use it once it's combined.

Hi Alberta! I would recommend turning the can upside down for at least an hour. That way all the good stuff on the bottom and work its way to the top, then stir real well. :) It should be fine!
