We love using Behr Paint and Primer. We have used it throughout our whole home. We do 2 coats and it covers perfectly!
Although it is a paint & primer in 1, if it is new drywall I would recommend sealing first. I just painted a room with Behr Paint & Primer over white walls and it did great with 1 coat.

I've had numerous paint experts tell me it's not all it's cracked up to be. Depending on what you're painting, you really need to use the proper primer first. On fresh sheetrock/drywall/plaster, you need to use a PVA primer to seal it. On surfaces that would be hard to get paint to stick to, you need to use a bonding primer like this one.
