I'm saving for a kitchen remodel, adding a dishwasher by the sink in the new kitchen configuration. How much plumbing is needed to add the dishwasher ? Thank you so much for your help.

If they can get access to the side cupboard of your sink, you're good to add a dishwasher there.
You can tie the drain into the sink drain and tap into the water supply lines for the sink. It's not a terrible difficult job to do but you should research a lot before doing it so that you can decide whether this is a DIY or hire a plumber/handy man for the job.
You will need a drain hooked up to existing drain and a plug just for the dish washer with its own circuits
