How can I "fix" my porcelain sink?

We moved into a great house, but the kitchen sink has a horrible "stain" that we cannot remove! I have tried everything! I think it's actually pot marks? But at any rate, we cannot remove them. And to make matters worse, the sink and counter top are all connected, so we cannot replace the sink without replacing the entire counter top (which we love!!) HELP please.

  • I think I'd try soaking it in bleach or lemon juice for a while.

Thanks, I did that - and the sink gets VERY white .... but the stains (if they are stains!!) remain. Thanks for trying!!!!! I really appreciate it.

I don't think those are stains. They look like scratches. You can apply baking soda and work into the area for a temporary fix. I have a white sink that looks similar to this. I've considered putting a mat in the bottom because short of painting (which doesn't last years) or replacing there's nothing to do but re "fix" every few days.

Thank you, I think you are absolutely correct! I never thought about a mat!!! That may be my go to "fix" until we can replace the entire thing!!! Thank you so VERY much....
