How do I create patio floor from stone tile?

    Yes, you can. If they’re really tile, you can set them with thinset, polymer added.

    Avoid large grout joints as they’re the source of all maintenance headaches. Polymer additive too.

    It it’s real stone, you’ll want to seal them while they’re clean. Water inside the stone will freeze thaw and break them apart over the years.

    Make sure it all drains away from the house.

    Depending on how big the tile is, you'll need more than thin set and they need to be exterior rated tiles or they will crumble. Tile really needs at least 1 1/4" concrete as a base.
