All the tools/supplies come in a bit when you buy the material...either metal screen or fiberglass/synthetic mesh ( easier to work with, but not as sturdy)
You need to keep an even tension on the screen material the spline does that. You can get spline at any big box diy. Mark the middle of the window at the top and bottom and side to side. You will need a spline tool looks like a plastic pizza wheel.its job is squish the screening into a channel and the spline will hold it there. I had to replace all the window screens when I bought this fifties fixer. Bob villa web site useful, instructables may also have instructions.
Have a flat head screw driver handy, works great for the corners. Use good screen and new spline (Lowes hardware dept) We found that by not pulling it tight til the end was best due to it being too tight and it bowed the screen a bit. Just keep the screen firm going around and tighten at the end. Practice makes perfect👊
Leave about 2 inches extra when cutting, trim at the end
