You have to keep a constant vigil. Spectracide Wasp & Hornet Killer will spray up to 27' and kills on contact. We keep it on hand because even though we kill them and destroy their nest, more come to take their place.

If someone has a way that will work better, I hope they share it. This crap gets old quick.

We got the wasp spray that you can spray from a ways away. Had to do it a few times but eventually we scared them off. We just got the spray at Home Depot.

Be careful using the wasp spray. If you get it on your plants it will kill them too. But do KILL THE WASPS. That is the only thing I enjoy killing.

Spectracide is the best! Spray the nest in the evening when they're inside. Even the spray left on the nest will kill any stragglers that come back after you spray. I've wondered if spraying the areas that they seem to like before they build their nests would deter them?

After killing the wasps, knock down the nest. Then keep watch because other wasps will try to rebuild...need to spray again.
