I like hyacinths--they're very fragrant. You probably would have needed to prepare the bulbs ahead of time, though. I have a blog post on it here: https://mermaidsden.com/blog/guide-growing-bulbs-indoors

You could also do something like lavender, which you could plant this year.
Old-fashioned roses, heliotrope, night-scented stock, alyssum, scented geraniums, lilies of the valley, carnations, jasmine, and lavender are favorites.
