    Hi Julie,

Well, I hope I'm thinking on the same track that you are...you can repurpose those small plastic swimming pools into squash and zucchini planters. They need SO MUCH horizontal space, but they don't have very deep roots. Just drill some holes in the bottom, fill with planting mix, and add a single plant in the center. By summer's end, it will totally fill the pool and you'll have plenty of yummy squash to enjoy!

Hi Julie. A lot of people use those kiddie pools to put pop, water, or beer in with ice when throwing a party. Or you could give it to anybody with a dog. Our dog loves his.

I have also used them for the dogs in the summer, if they love water, they will love using it too cool down and to get a drink. Any plants that don't need deep soil for the roots will work as a garden, you can leave it on top of the grass, or sink it into the soil a little. It would probably be good for things like mint plants and a few other herbs that like to spread out of control.
