Granular ant killer used on the entire yard is the best way to get rid of ants and keep them from just setting up a mound a few feet away. Good luck!
Debra: our ants in southeastern Texas are fire ants. Amdro works well.
I live in the south and we have a good bit of rain in spring. All that water and ants are in heaven instead of buying them a 10.00 last meal for the trip, we sprinkle grits on mound. May not be the best way to enrich their diets but will darn sure send them to heaven full.

You need to kill the Queen art. Once she is dead the others will go away, the queen is their leader.
