My house was built in 1990. The nails that were used are rusted. We had the house paintedlast year with Sherwin Williams exterior paint. The nails and their rust are already showing. Please, if you have an idea, let me know. Thanks!

The rusty nails and rust should have been sealed with shellac or a shellac based primer. Then painted.

stain blocking primer and spot paint to the rusted areas. If you can, remove nails and use screws.

Did someone (professional you hired)paint your house?? Is it from a previous siding install?I'm guessing it's wood or siding(vinyl). Is the job under warranty they need to come back and fix it. They never sealed it or primed it correctly to prevent bleed thru. use Iron Out or vinegar to remove rust then spot prime each mark/nail head then repaint to match.

Thank you all for the advise. I did not know vinegar would remove rust.

I'm doubtful about the vinegar removing rust but other products will either remove rust stains or use Kilz or something similar over rust spots and then repaint to match....
