You can buy a number of different types of recessed outlets at all of the big box stores. You may have to adjust the existing junction box to accommodate it. Not a hard project if you are comfortable doing electric work.
I assume your outlet boxes and outlets are on the surface of the wall?! A photo would help. What are the walls made of? Is the electrical tubing on the surface?
Best left to an electrician for safety sake. Any remodeling done to a structure needs to pass code on wiring for fire and safety reasons.
