Mounds: Poke hole in center with long stick and pour boiling water or Jiffy corn muffin mix

Diatomaceous earth can be sprinkled in your house and around the perimeter. It will continue to work if it gets wet, as long as it isn't washed away.

Sprinkle Jiffy Muffin mix where you see ants and along baseboards. Ants cannot digest it. They take it back to the nest and it kills them.

Some people say it doesn't work, but I've heard that it's effective. And it's safe for children and pets.

I use Terro ant traps for the indoors...little capsules with ant poison and the ants eat it and take it back to their nest ...quick remedy...use it for the teeny tiny ants. Also, spritzing cinnamon oil is suppose to work well, too. I also keep diatameous earth powder on hand..sprinkle it where you see ants. Diazide works very well for ant hills.

Try raw uncooked grits. Sprinkle on the hill and parts of the trail. Works indoors or out. Works for me.

Use 1 part Borax with 1 part powdered sugar and scatter over stone or wood near the entrance to ant nest. It’s not harmful to animals or humans.

Or sprinkle crumbled bay leaves in window sills to keep ants out.

Use 1 cup of rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle and add about 15 drops of cinnamon oil. I sprayed the entrances to my house 2 years ago and no ants have come into my house since.
