How do I clean vinyl windows that are stained with water spots?

straight vinegar & scrubber sponge ( it will break up mineral deposits) rinse with hot water, dry so they don't get respotted then do glass...straight rubbing /isopropyl alcohol and clean wash cloth( no fabric softener on it and no paper towels both cause streaking and smearing)--just pour alcohol on cloth and wipe glass,mirrors,auto glass;do inside one direction-horizontal and other side -vertically this way you can tell easier which is not clean

Hi ! They might not be water spots ! I thought the windows in our house had water stains from the hard water , but a building inspector said that the gas between the window panes had escaped leaving the windows not as effective for insulating.
