How do I keep my oven clean?
I have a brand new oven. My daughter likes to bake with Balsamic Vinegar. It gets all over the oven. I have tried scrubbing multiple times, and i cant get it out. I finally gave up and grabbed a straight edge razor, and used it to remove most of the residue from the glass and door. Does anyone know of anything that would work? I have tried baking soda with vinegar, it helped a little , but not much. I would like to keep it clean, with something other than spraying any awful smelling oven cleaner. Also, i need something that i can use often, as this happens every few days. Thank You
Balsamic vinegar is almost like a thick sugary mess. Did you try warming the oven a little first? It may help loosen it a little bit. You should be able to use a plastic scraper on the walls of the oven and the safety razor blade on the glass. Getting an oven liner for the bottom will help the bottom and you can just take it out and clean it right off in the sink. The liners do really help keep the oven bottom clean with spills and spits. I hope this helps you some Bowiefan.
excellent. thank you. i will look for one.
I thought warming it up first might help, but not sure?
No problem! Hope that works!
I use a steam cleaner for my oven that I received for Christmas last year & love it. It doesn't use any harsh chemicals and keeps it clean!

How to Clean an Oven (Priceless!!)
If you don't have a self cleaning oven, turn the oven on 500° let it bake for an hour. Then wipe it clean with a magic eraser.
