What can I put in an aquarium without fish?

Basically my husband has given up on our aquarium after 5 years. But i don't want to leave it empty!

i would use it as a terarium and plant it with small flowers, have seen it done,,it looks wonderful.

Another vote for a terrarium. Fill it with beautiful plants.
Succulents would be my go to for this.
Fairy gardens are very popular right now as well.
Go full on terrarium - layer of gravel, barrier paper, soil, plants, decor and lid.
