Hi Joanne. I'm Cindy. I used 4 shutters to make a plant stand. I got them from Habitat for Humanity and they were already hinged. I bought 2 sets of 2. All I had to do was attach them with L brackets. Then I screwed a scrap piece of wood on the inside 4 inches from the top so that it could hold a potted plant. I spray painted the whole thing white and put it in my living room. Looks great.
