Can I make an oval dinning room table into a farm table? I think its veneer. I would like some helpful hints
Hi Kim. I painted my modern table into a farmhouse table. You can find all of the details here... http://www.recreateddesigns.com/2017/03/painting-dining-table/ Hope it helps!
Hi lightly sand it and make sure it is clean, then repaint it with chalk paint
Not much odor at all
Yes, If it were me doing the job, and the veneer was in good order, then rather than re-finishing it, I would not touch the top, but instead make a drop over new top in the rustic timber of my choice. That would mean I could re-use the original table as is, another time, if I wished too!`If the top veneer is chipped or in bad order then I would still use other timber on the top to give me a rustic look. If the table was solid wood, then, I would sand it down to reveal the new clean surface and finish with Wax or Matt or Satin polyurethane varnish............Hope that helps.
