    Pull. It off and then use a stiff brush to remove the suckers.

    Hi Judith,

    We had a similar problem with it on the brick walls of our house. Had to just pull it off with our hands, it does grow into the brick and leaves an imprint-kind of like a fossil of ivy, so you might see the same results on your patio.

  • I think you'll need to just pull it up. If any bricks come up with it, you'll need to relay them. Another option is to cut the vine as close as possible to the brick, but you'll always see that little stump of the vine.
