My living room is done in aquamarine, white with cherry tables. I have this really nice rug that would fit better in living room that has black burgandy green and other colors in it, do you think that rug would look right in my living room with the colors I currently have. Here is a picture of the rug i want to use along with living room picture. Please be honest I will not be offended. Thank you

    Hi there,

Yes, it would look better as it will make your room pop! but add a few bit's around such as Vase ,Cushion, Tablecloth in the Burgundy colour too......

I think the other area geometric rug would work well..a contrast to break up the blues. Accessorize with some color from the area rug to bring out the new look. Have fun!

Hi ! Only the picture of your living room came through , not the one of the rug you want to use...please repost that picture 😊 but by the sound of the colors you described i don't think it will go well... But you never know , it might if you pick up some of the colors in the rug as accent colors in the room .

Yes I do! It will bring a lot of life to your room! The brown and burgundy work well with the natural wood in the room and the grey plays off the blue nicely! The pattern gives your whole room interest. I think it will look great. :)

Yes it would work - it would break up some of the blue/white.

I'm sorry but I don't like using the red/brown/black rug. It's too geometric for the style furniture you have and there is no other color in the room that is in the rug. It might help if you swap out the blue curtains in the other room with one of the colors and add pillows or flowers in room with the chairs. Repaint the door a solid color. You should pick a focal point. Everything seems to be competing for attention.

I would keep the rug you have. There is nothing that would go with your furniture or accessories in that room,. If there was just a hint of the aqua in the new one it might work but it is just too modern for the older style furniture which is gorgeous and would look totally out of place.

If you switched the rug, I think I’d walk in and wonder why you used a rug that didn’t match anything else. But it’s only a rug. Move the furniture and put it down. If you don’t like it, just roll it up and put the other one back. It’s just moving furniture.

The black in rug would match my wall decor, the brown color would match my curtains, the cream color would match wall or close to it.

Was thinking if i has accent pillows and blankets on chairs in burgandy and avocado colors that it may blend in.

I think you have a great idea tying the rug in. I like the new rug better and think it will look great! Good for it!

I’m not a fan. You have very traditional chairs and a very modern geometrical rug with many primary colors and nothing to tie in the chairs. The other rug is a bit too matchy but still looks better. A table or ottoman in the middle will break up the blues and then add some pillows for another pop of color.

No to the burgundy/green/brown rug because it is modern. The light blue chairs and dark tables are both traditional. The modern and traditional are going to clash and compete with each other, with neither as a winner.
