Mirrors on the wall to bounce the light around. Glass top tables, Uncluttered floor. Bright uplifting pictures on the wall. Furniture size appropriate to the area (Nothing over bulky). Main drapes pulled back to allow light in. Best wishes
Decluttering is the best way to make a small home feel better. We accumulate so much stuff and we just stop seeing it after a while. Getting rid of the un-needed stuff frees up so much space.
Other tips: smaller furniture, lighter paint colors, furniture with legs all make a small space look bigger.
