Plexi glass is very hard to maintain; special cleaners, scratches, get cloudy etc.. You should use glass if at all possible.

To clean plexiglass use Sparkle glass cleaner. Use on jet cockpits.

I cut out the middle panels of my cupboard doors and replaced them with glass. But first I used label making tape to block off an elongated tic tac toe design, then had the glass sandblasted at an automotive shop. This resulted in a frosted glass with clear design lines on them. I love it!!

Yes and I agree with the earlier comments about using glass instead of plexiglas. The suggests video covers the general procedure quite well. I have had better luck using a router with a rabbet bit and a guide wheel rather than a straight bit. The guide wheel runs of the front lip, while the cutter removers the back lip. If you decide to tackle this and want more detail, feel free to reply.

Hi ! I covered my wooden cabinets with beadboard , using lock tight super glue.

I don't see why you couldn't use the same technique, I only covered the center part , because I hated the 1970's

Scalloped insects, but you should be able to cover the full front. I know this isn't your style , but this shows the process . Good luck !
