Measure TWICE, then go back and measure again! Take measurements at the top, middle, bottom, then the depth and of course the height. You might be able to purchase cabinets at your local big box store that will fill your area. Or, maybe, contact your local high school regarding their wood shop class. They may have a program for extra credit for the kids, and you could get your cabinets. A win win! Best of luck.

We went to Habitat and purchased old kitchen cabinets that were in great shape. Stacked as needed, filled the entire back wall for $100.

That is a great idea. We did metal "L" brackets and shelving but I think cabinets are much better for a neat look.

I have two upper sets of kitchen cabinets in my garage and they are so great for storage. I added a couple of the over the toilet cabinets near them and those work great for small things that get lost in the other built in shelves and work bench, like boxes of nails, screws, etc. and blades for the jigsaw, bit sets, etc. and some of my gardening things like seed packets and small tools. One of the upper cabinets I have in the garage is actually half used for those pesky pots that are big enough that they really don't fit well in the kitchen cupboards.
