Can I use leftover potting soil?

i have left over potting soil from last year, six bags. am i correct to say i can put it in my garden and mix in top,soil? thank you.

    I put mine on the patches in my lawn. It did a great job as the St Augustine really rooted in it.

    Yes you can!

    Some compost as an additive would be beneficial too.

    If you haven't opened your potting soil from last year you can use it in your garden pots this year. It will be fresh and not depleted from plants absorbing the nutrients and watering that depletes the potting soil. You can also mix it in your garden. It will help keep heavy soil light rather than compacted. I wish I had 6 bags stored in my garage from last year!
