What are some options for temporary fencing for dog run?

We are purchasing a new construction home in NC that currently has no fenced yard. We have two small dogs, a 10 year old chihuahua /corgi mix and a 6 month old min-pin/terrier mix. Especially because of the puppy and that this is a long distance move, we need to have a temporary solution for them to run about and do their business outside until we can get a permanent fence built, which could be a couple months. They are used to being let out in our fenced backyard now, so definitely not leash trained for doing business! They are small, non-aggressive, but puppy is very energetic. I don't want to have to spend a fortune on something that is temporary, but certainly want to protect them and make them comfortable.

go to big box hardware store get metal fence posts and roll of wire fence/chicken wire since the dogs are small so they cannot get out. put posts in ground roll out fence attach to posts with baling wire, make sure the fence is down on ground and pulled tight so the dogs cannot go under. if you use more posts closer together you can get it/pull it tighter. less slack/harder for them to go under sections.you can add pieces of rebar or some tent stakes between posts holding down bottom if you are concerned about them getting out(i'd do this anyway better safe than sorry) this is low cost easy install/removal,also make sure the baling wire(used to attach fencing) ends cannot hurt/scratch the dogs

Welcome to the south! How about one of those collapsable metal pins?

We used some plastic netting from Walmart but this was for chicks (baby chickens). Pounded metal posts into the ground to make just the size and shape we needed. Found it best to bury a few inches so nobody could squeeze out the bottom where the fencing meets the ground. After a few months when they had grown we pulled up the stakes and rolled up the netting. Now reusing both for other projects. The plastic netting is strong so enough that it needed to be cut with a knife (I couldn't tear it by hand).

If you are worried about the looks like I was Walmart has a dark green that somewhat blends into the landscaping. Don't know if this is what you wanted but it what we did and the total cost was less then $25.

This is what we use in our no fence gated community. I don't know how much you need to cover so the cost will depend on that. We have a small dog and our son has two small dogs too. We've used this for about 3 years and no problem. We can move a few panels when our man comes to trim the palms. Very nice looking and easy to install.
