Try wrapping screening around it

You could try growing vines on it! Once they fill in they look wonderful. Ask at your local garden centre as to what would grow quickly. :)

You could try a mesh or something over it or the green slots you weave between the chains

Plant a row of hedge plants (Russian Privet, etc.) right along it -- hedge will grow up next to and through the fence -- in a few years, you won't even see the fence. We did it with 200 ft. of fence at our first house and it was beautiful and nothing could get through it!!

Find some bamboo. Cut it into lengths that equal the height of the fence plus a few inches. Snip off all the leaves and stems (use a pruning saw to get the smoothest results). WEAR GLOVES. Weave the bamboo down through the chain-link fencing. It gets easier once you get the hang of it. Once the bamboo is in place you can leave it natural (it will go from green to a tan color,) or you can let it dry to tan and then spray paint it white or whatever color you want. If something hits your fence and some bamboo is broken, just replace those pieces (with the few extra pieces you set aside originally) - easy!
