Hi Kate, Charcoal bricquettes like those used for grilling absorb odors very well. Be sure to get the untreated ones that don't have any fire-starter included. You can place several of these in small paper bags and place them in various areas in your RV to alleviate the musty smell. I did this in my basement for years, change them out periodically and maybe leave fresh ones in the next time you store your RV as well. Baking soda also helps absorb odors but the charcoal is less messy.

  • Baking soda, fresh coffee grounds, charcoal, crumpled up newspaper. All work, just depends what is most convenient for you. In order to avoid this, or at least minimize odors, when you store next winter, leave open boxes of baking powder or charcoal in the vehicle and cabinets, drawers, etc.., while closed up.

Kate, Febreze will work, also candles.

Great! Thanks. I've used baking soda before. Will try charcoal. As long as I remember! Lol
