Outdoor Patio Cabinet

Hello Fellow Home Talk Crew.... I have been working diligently on my yard, back and front. I needed a cabinet to hold beach towels and etc for my back patio, but well I'm on a fixed income, soo; I decided to use one of the wooden file cabinets i had been using in my room to hold (junk mostly). I'm posting pictures of before and during the transformation and will post pictures when I have finished the sanding and beautifying the outdoor cabinet. I'm pretty excited to see the finished product.

Before

The wooden cabinet as you can see has been painted black. I want to take it down to the original wood if possible.

During

Front of the cabinet after first day of sanding.

Side of cabinet after first day of sanding.

During

I bought a hand sander (finally) and 120 grit sandpaper, this is the result.

During

More results from hand sanding

During

Finally the entire cabinet has been sanded, the 120 grit sand paper with the hand sander, sure made it go a lot faster.

After I applied stain

Stained with dark walnut stain.

After staining

Letting it dry, weather has turned wet and cold here, so this process of drying is taking longer. More pictures after dried and completely finished and out on the back patio.

Cabinet Finished

Finally the finished product. I love it. Now to the next one.

Suggested materials:
