Hello Mari,
Draw the shape on a piece of paper and then try drawing out a design you like. It may take a few goes and a few designs such as: Border all around with Gravel in middle and a large plant Pot in centre of Gravel, or All laid to Gravel or Pavers and a group of Pots in the centre or to all sides or corners, or a Feature Shrub and Pots around it. Let you mind wonder on the possibilities, You might even decide you want a bench out there to sit and watch the world go by....... Enjoy

Mari, I have a tiny front yard. About 20' x 20'. First off, keep it very simple with clean lines. We portioned off an area close to the house for rocks and edged it. Secondly, we use a variety of large colorful flower pots that we can arrange, group and move around the rock area and fill them with lots of colorful blossoms. Also a shepherds hook with hanging baskets to add height. Lastly, the area that is grass we have been freshening with new seed and keeping that area trimmed and watered
