How to redo a chair?

Do anyone have any recommendations on how to fix a seat in a chair? I bought some chair webbing but I can’t seam to get it tight enough. Here’s a picture
Hello-While I have repaired and disguised a torn awning, Im not sure how this can be attractively be repaired for structural integrity and weighted use. Some manufacturers do sell replacement slings tho they are pretty pricey.
Perhaps someone else can come up with the perfect solution.

I haven't tried this, but my suggestion would be to mend on the underside using gorilla tape or something similar, then support the area for weighted use by stringing cordage on the underside where it won't be visible, but will protect it from further damage
