I recently read about using Jiffy corn muffin mix to get rid of ants. Corn meal would work as well but the ants are attracted to the sweetness of the muffin mix. Sprinkle a little where you see the ants. They will eat it and carry it back to the nest. Since they cannot digest it they will die. I told my neighbor about this. She purchased a 79 cent muffin mix, spread about one tenth of it where she had ants. Two days later no more cornmeal mix and no ants either! Hope this works for you as well. No noxious chemicals in your house!

Thanks Pam, We have had a terrible time with Ants. Will use your suggestion.

  • Hi Theresa - Those little buggers are relentless, aren't they?!? This is the most effective method and all-natural spray DIY that we use with ants. It's best indoors, but will also work outside with more frequent applications. Hope this helps! Hugs, Holly

Borax across their trail or blown into their nests. I filled a basting tube thing with borax and squirted it with that. I put it in the trees around my house where the ants hung out too. No more ants for years now
