Put in a few flowers and shrubs, put a fresh coat of paint on your mailbox, and power wash the driveway and/or sidewalks. Some low cost/high performers are peonies, zinnias, and juniper bushes. Good luck on the sale!

  • Any kind of blooms to brighten up the landscape, as well as a potted plant or two on your porch or stoop. Also consider a wreath for the door. Good luck!

A photo of your current situation to look at might give more direction to what might be suggested.

There are so many ways to improve Curb appeal one of the most impactful ones I think— it’s making the front door attractive and inviting. A cheerful color for the front door maybe a wreath and some flowering planters can add such charm and beauty.

Visual clues on pinterest and Houzz can assist in your color and curb appeal design decision. I have a neighbor with a red brick ranch with blue turquoise door and shutters that makes me smile! Its stunning, especially being a waterfront location.

A clean defined pathway landscaped to the front door is also important to to direct the eye to go in that focal direction.

Add some color possibly decorative floor planters, attractive lantern lighting, shutters, flower boxes, colorful annuals, garden flag, outdoor rug or doormat? Organized and clean landscaping beds -with mulch if that’s what is common in your neighborhood or area.

I personally find browsing the Houzz or Pinterest web sites to have some awesome visuals to consider —to collect all these image or storyboard for future reference, planning and execution. You might want to consider browsing over at these sites utilizing key word searches customized to your specific needs or interest.

Trim bushes and trees, if needed. Talk to your realtor. They may be able to give you some ideas.

Make sure your grass is mowed and walkways are edged and free of weeds. FEED your lawn, Miracle Gro for Lawns works well. Maybe a large pot with flowers on or nearby? Stand in front of your home and look at it with a critical eye and ask yourself what would you change about it. If it's mainly yard work, that's sweat equity, doesn't cost a thing. You need people to want to go inside. Curb appeal. Hope this helps, 😊
