Should I ship lap the ceiling or drywall first?

Should I do the ceiling (ship lap) first - or drywall the walls first?

    Do the drywall first. If you do the ceiling first the edges of the ship lap will be underneath the drywall. If you ever need to pull a piece or two of ship lap off for any reason you’ll damage the drywall.

    Drywall should be first, then you can shiplap the ceiling and get a professional finish at the edges of the room where the newly installed drywall is in place.
